Following the recent  release of the former governor of Delta state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, from a UK prison , a reverend has revealed he will go to great lengths for him, because he is a 'great man'. Reverend Sam Ken who is a former chairman of the Warri South-West Local Government Area in Delta State, said if Ibori is a great man who had his people's best interests at heart. Despite the fact that Rev Ken has been bedridden following an accident he survived in 2014, he said he wouldn't have minded dancing on his head at the marketplace, in celebration of the 'great man's return. Shock, disbelief trail Pastor Adeboye's retirement as General Overseer of RCCG

Nigerians have reacted to reports that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has retired from his post as the administrative head of the church. The former lecturer had  reportedly stepped down from his role as the ministry's overseer with another senior pastor, J O Obayemi succeeding him  with immediate effect. He was said to have made this announcement on Saturday, December 7, having led the church since 1991. While the news of his retirement still looked unbelievable to some Nigerians, others believe the man of God has actually paid his due and has earned the accolades that he has gotten over the years. Several others expressed optimism in seeing the RCCG maintaining its standard which Pastor Adeboye has reportedly kept religiously for more than two decades.

The Gambian army chief declares loyalty to the gambian president

- In the face of military action threatened against President Jammeh by the ECOWAS leaders, Gambia's army chief Ousman Badjie has declared support for the leader - Badjie affirmed his loyalty and the support of the Gambia Armed Forces for Jammeh in a letter to pro-government Daily Observer newspaper - There are serious indications that Gambia might be headed for war following rifts over election results Following threat of military action against the country by President Muhammadu Buhari and other ECOWAS leaders, Gambia's army chief Ousman Badjie has declared his loyalty to President Yahya Jammeh.
